Do-It-Yourself Yard Trimming Recycling
The 5 North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) Solid Waste member cities (Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Richardson) include weekly residential landscape or yard trimming collection as part of their monthly service. Additionally, twice a month free dumps at the Custer Road Grind Site are designed to accommodate periodic volumes from seasonal pruning or replacements by residents exceeding their weekly collection. It is not a service passed on to or used by commercial businesses or contractors for the resident's convenience.Residents are allowed two drop-offs per monthly utility bill cycle. Residents disposing of materials exceeding their two residential drop-offs per monthly utility billing will be charged a tipping fee. View disclaimer and current tipping fees.
Member City Residential Loads
Any landscape and/or yard trimming loads delivered in a personal vehicle and/or trailer of a member city resident (the vehicle and/or trailer is titled or insured in name matching the driver's license and city utility bill) will not be charged the associated per yard tipping fee, unless they dump more than twice in any given month.Commercial or Contractor Loads
All landscape and/or yard trimming loads delivered in commercial or contractor vehicles and/or trailers (includes the business name on either or both truck and / or trailer) are charged the associated per yard tipping fee.
Suspected Commercial or Contractor Loads
Any landscape and / or yard trimming loads delivered in a perceived commercial or contractor vehicle and trailer (does not include the business name on the trailer but designed/built equipped with related equipment (i.e. mowers, weed eater, edger's and/or irrigation) will be charged the associated per yard tipping fee.Reasonable Exception
- If the owner of the vehicle and/or trailer is a member city resident, which is defined by the vehicle and/or trailer is titled or insured in name matching the driver's license and city utility bill, they are allowed to dump twice a month free of charge.
